STORY TO TELL​

Sardinia, a land of ancient traditions and authentic flavors, has always been rich in history and culinary culture. Among its mountains and coasts lie recipes that tell the story of the island’s simple and genuine way of life.

For us, the Savoiardone di Sardegna is much more than just a biscuit. Perfect for starting the day with a wholesome and nutritious breakfast, it shines in tiramisù and transforms into new culinary interpretations as a base for creative and refined desserts. With its soft texture and delicate flavor, it remains a symbol of tradition while adapting to modern tastes, continuing to surprise anyone who enjoys it.

ORIGINS​

One of the symbols of this tradition is our Savoiardone Tipico, a biscuit deeply rooted in Italian history. Its origins date back to the 14th century when it was first created at the court of Count Amadeus VI of Savoy. Over time, the recipe spread across the territories under the influence of the Sardinian-Piedmontese Kingdom, eventually reaching Sardinia, where it was reinterpreted with a local touch. This adaptation enriched its flavor, making it even more unique and distinctive.

1950

In the 1950s, Nonna Anna, Aunt Bàrtola, and Aunt Nanna began crafting the homemade Savoiardone di Fonni, creating a tradition that would forever define our family’s history.

1975

Starting in 1975, Mario Masini joined his mother and aunts, mastering the art of preparing the traditional Fonni biscuit, also known as pistocu de cafei. Thus, the recipe continued to be passed down with the same passion and dedication.

1982

In 1982, the first nucleus of the company came to life in Fonni, thanks to the initiative of Mario Masini, marking the beginning of a journey that would bring the family tradition to new horizons.

1987

In 1987, Gianni decided to join his brother Mario, bringing new energy and expertise to the business. This led to the creation of MaGi Dolciaria, combining their names and carrying on Nonna Anna’s legacy. That same year, the Savoiardone di Sardegna trademark was officially registered, marking a pivotal step in preserving the family’s confectionery tradition.

1999

In 1999, brothers Mario and Gianni Masini established a limited liability company named Tipico, blending the family tradition with a modern vision. Through steady growth, the company developed the scale and capabilities needed to succeed in both Italian and international markets.

2018

In 2018, with the arrival of the third generation of the family, I Masini S.r.l. was founded by Pietro, Marco, and Carlo Masini, continuing the family legacy with an eye toward the future.

2022

In 2022, the company took another step forward in its evolution, introducing the Tipico Tiramisu Kit to the market. With the same care and attention that has guided us for generations, we created a product that allows you to recreate tiramisu at home using our Savoiardi di Sardegna.
